Mechanical Design Review

Independent senior review before expensive commitments.

I review architecture and manufacturability with one goal: make critical risks explicit before tooling, supplier lock-in, or pilot build.

What I cover

Mechanical architecture, tolerance stack logic, load paths, heat and assembly constraints, BOM feasibility, and practical DFM impact. If needed, I also contribute directly in CAD, not only in review slides.

When to use

Before freezing design for tooling, when prototype results are noisy, or when internal bandwidth is too thin to challenge assumptions thoroughly.

Output 1

Risk map

Prioritized list of technical risks with severity, confidence, and suggested closure actions.

Output 2

Decision notes

Clear recommendations with trade-offs so your team can choose based on schedule, cost, and reliability impact.

Output 3

Action plan

Concrete next steps for design updates, tests, and supplier conversations tied to your current milestone.
